Healthway Medical carried out a Medical Mission last 24th of June 2007. The medical mission began at 8am and ended at around 1pm in the community of Sampaloc Elementary School in Paranaque with the Philippine Marketing Association initiating the activity as part of their annual Community Service Relations program. With approximately 500 attendees mostly women and their children, Healthway Medical provided doctors and nurses; conducted Blood Pressure check-ups; general consultations (derma, dental, legal, and family medicine), body fat analyses and gave medicines from UNILAB and Pascual Laboratories for free.

The mission was also attended by Healthway Medical product manager Raymond Rivera, Nurses Michelle Tible and Rhoda Quilantip, Doctors Bam and Bernie Alejandrino and Marketing Officer Sheryl Polancos. “This outreach program was primarily supported by Healthway Medical to further achieve its goal of helping the less fortunate, and to continually promote a healthy lifestyle among Filipino families”, Ms. Polancos said during her DWIZ interview that Sunday afternoon. Despite the blistering heat and the unprecedented outcome of patients that day, Healthway Medical successfully delivered the quality healthcare it always envisioned.

Healthway concludes Badminton tourney, turns over Donation to Children’s Hour

Healthway Medical gave a donation worth P97,000 to Children’s Hour. The turnover ceremony was held recently after the championship round of Healthway’s badminton tournament dubbed Serve for Health  The 1st Healthway Invitational Badminton Tournament at the Activity Center of Market! Market! in Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The donation came from the funds raised during the said badminton tournament.

The event drew a total of 194 participants, which was composed of Healthway’s doctors and staff, corporate clients, and business partners.

After a series of eliminations, only 74 individuals in four divisions consisting of men’, women’, and mixed categories vied for trophies, medals, and cash prizes.

Players from Unionbank of the Philippines got the most number of wins, with Edwin Bautista and Raphael Andres Reyes bagging the championship trophy for men’s division of Level D; Zofi Itass and Michael Ocampo being the champions of mixed division of Level D; Oleeve Reyes and Luis Castaneda as runners-up for the mixed division of Level D; and Kat Esguerra and Mae Saavedra being the champions for the ladies division of Level A

Others who bagged the championship include the delegations of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp. (HSBC), Philippine Axa Life, Generali Pilipinas, Makati Medical Center, Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), the staff of Healthway, and members of Titans and Badminton Express.

The objective of the event was for Healthway to forge stronger ties with its corporate clients and business partners while raising funds for Children’s Hour.

The Children’s Hour is a fundraising and grant-giving organization that taps individuals and companies to donate one hour’s worth of earnings to programs committed to the welfare of marginalized Filipino Children.

Since 1999, Children’s Hour has raised over P134 million in cash and services and has supported over 191 projects nationwide, directly improving the lives of over 188,623 Filipino Children.

Healthway, APMC Forge Partnership for Health Awareness

To continue its community marketing program which is aimed at reaching various residential communities in Metro Manila, Mall-based network of clinics Healthway Medical forged a tie up with Ayala Property Management Corporation(APMC) to come up with a health awareness day.

The partnership allowed Healthway to reach out to the residents of the Boni Ridge Condominium at Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig while APMC supported by disseminating the necessary information to the residents.

Held at the lobby of the building, the residents of Boni Ridge lined up at Healthway’s booth to avail of procedures such as body fat analysis, blood pressure check up, random blood sugar testing, as well as consultations with a physician specializing in family medicine. Healthway also raffled out discount cards and other souvenir items to make the event more interesting.

The event is the second in a series of Healthway’s community marketing program with the previous activit held at Ayala Alabang Village Muntinlupa City.

Under this program, Healthway tours various residential buildings and communities to come up with similar “health awareness day” in order to carry out with its goal of promoting healthy lifestyle to a wider majority.

“Healthway Medical aims to provide quality health care not just to the working class but for the individuals and family members. Healthway’s community-marketing program aims to continuously explore partnerships with different residential areas to further promote health and wellness. Health is often neglected and of least priority so we have to educate various communities through this project,” said Carmie de Leon, sales and marketing director of Healthway Medical.

Healthway helps promote healthy living to Ayala Alabang residents

In its goal of promoting healthy living among Filipinos, Healthway Medical took part in a walkathon and bikeathon event organized by the Ayala Alabang Village Association last June at Ayala Alabang Village Muntinlupa City.

Some 300 residents of the village geared up as early as 6:00 am to prepare for the half-day activity. The two sporting events served as races among the participants as part of Barangay Ayala Alabang’s anniversary celebration.

As one of the major sponsors of the activity, Healthway provided medical support headed by its doctor and nurses from its Alabang and Festival Mall clinics to ensure safety of the participants. Healthway also gave away free consultation invites and gift certificates during the event as well as sunvisors and other items that the participants used for the event.
